Why IAQ (Indoor air quality) is important?

As we breathe every moment, the air will directly affect our well being both physical and mental health. The air around us can have various detrimental contaminations that can be dangerous to us such as dust, chemical residues, and hazardous gas. Allergy, sick-building syndrome, and nauseas are some preliminary examples of the unwanted effects from bad indoor air quality. The prolonged contact with hazardous chemical, dust and other pollutants can incur the acute health problems.

In most countries, IAQ is considered part of the required cleaning regime for the building operators, whereby the regular assessment of the IAQ status (i.e., air quality status) to determine whether the indoor air is safe for the tenants and hence some actions taken are necessary.
